The Marching Band CDs were delayed in production over the holidays. We hope to have them by the end of January. Thank you for your support!

The Georgia Bridgemen Band Boosters are now taking order for the Battle on the Border DVD and for the 2009 Marching Season Video Yearbook for the Georgia Bridgemen.
Each year, the Lowndes High School Georgia Bridgeman staff produces a wonderful season DVD (video yearbook). The video yearbook pre-sales start October 26th 2009. The booster club will offer a yearbook discount for the first 100 students to pre order by November 30th 2009.

The "Battle on the Borders” DVD features consecutive band performances of the Saturday Night Finals Competition on one DVD. Available two weeks after competition ($25.00).

Valdosta High Wins 2009 Battle on the Border
With highest scores for Visuals and for General Effect, Valdosta High won the 2009 Battle on the Border Oct 24 at Lowndes High's Martin Stadium. Valdosta's "How the West was Won" performance scored 94.93 points. Lincoln High had the highest score in the finals for Music and placed second with 93.60 points. Pierce County placed third with 93.23 points.
Also competing in the finals for the fifth annual Battle on the Border were Northside High (89.90), Gulf Breeze High (89.08), Berrien High (87.83), Americus-Sumter (86.73), and Clay High School (84.35).
Eleven bands enjoyed a beautiful day for competition. Thank you to our guests and community for packing the stands for the contest. Thanks also to our band students, directors, band boosters, and the generous donors who contributed to the day's success. We'll see you all next year for the sixth annual Georgia Bridgemen Battle on the Border!
Bridgemen Victorious in the Southern Showcase
The Georgia Bridgemen claimed top honors in their second competition for the season, taking Best Band in Class AAAA and posting the highest scores for the Southern Showcase. The band won superior ratings for drum majors, color guard, persussion, dance line, and band. The Georgia Bridgemen persussion also won Best in Class. We're very proud of our Georgia Bridgemen! Thanks to everyone who made this trip successful.
Georgia Bridgemen Win Lake Lanier Contest
The Georga Bridgemen took top honors in the Lake Lanier Tournament of Bands contest at Chestatee High School in Gainesville, Georgia. In the Open Division, the Bridgemen were named 1st Place Band and scored 1st place in Dance line, 1st place for Percussion, 2nd place for Drum Major, and 2nd place for Color Guard. The Bridgemen were also named first place band in the Gold division and earned theGene Shadburn Salute to Marching Bands award for best overall score and the Ronald J. Evans Outstanding Musicianship Award for highest band score.

Bridgemen Return Home with Full Show
After two weeks on the road the Georgia Bridgemen entertained the home crowd at Martin Stadium with the complete halftime show, "30 Years of the Georgia Bridgemen."

Georgia Bridgemen Wow the Crowds at Colquitt
The Bridgemen put the full show on the field at Colquitt for halftime of the Region opener game against the Packers. Return Check Fees Increased
Effective October 1, 2008
The band has seen a significant increase in the number of returned checks, and we are incurring excessive cost due to bank fees. Effective October 1, all returned checks will require a $30.00 returned check fee to be paid to the band. If you are having financial difficulties in these difficult times, please talk with one of the band officers so that we can help you with a payment schedule or other means to provide for your student's needs.
