Bridgemen Band Boosters June 2010 Newsletter Please make plans to attend the June Booster meeting on June 28, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the LHS Cafetorium. BAND STORE: The band store will be open at the booster meeting. We are having a HUGE t-shirt sale!! Prices from $2.00 - $10.00. Please come by and see what we have to add to or begin your Georgia Bridgemen collection!! BAND CAMP: Yes, Boosters, we’re talking about Band Camp 2010!! It is never too early to start thinking about band camp. We continue to need donations of cups, whether from a business or individual. We also need donations of Gatorade and popsicles!! Please see Dana Black for more information and how you can get plugged in! CHAPERONES: Sign up sheets will be available at the June Booster Meeting to help with band camp. There will also be sign up sheets for working our home football games. This form can be downloaded from the Bridgemen website at: www.georgiabridgemen.com Please have these forms completed and ready to turn in at the Booster meeting Monday or the FIRST day of band camp. FOOTBALL PROGRAM: All business and senior ads are due at the June Booster Meeting. Please see Evelyn Jackson to turn in your ads. FUNDRAISING: Our annual Boston Butt fundraiser will be held August 27, 2010. Tickets will be available for checkout at the June Booster Meeting. BUS DRIVERS! Upcoming 9th grade parents, the Georgia Bridgemen need you! The 2010-2011 Band season will be the biggest year yet! We’re expecting close to 460 Bridgemen which means we will need to add buses to our convoy. If you haven’t noticed, when the Bridgemen roll, we make our own parade. Traveling through towns all over the east, people stop in their tracks to watch our parade go by, wondering where the end may be. We’re expecting to roll with at least 14 school buses, our semi trailer and assorted trailers, not to mention our great Deputies this band season. Most people don’t know that you, our booster parents are the drivers of the buses. We can’t do this without your help! This also gives you a very good chance to go everywhere the Bridgemen go! We need you to step up and volunteer to drive a bus or to be a back up driver for your child’s band season.
