Keep Informed!

Band Booster Meetings are your best opportunity to learn about the band's plans and how you can contribute to making this the best experience for your student. Booster meetings are typically the fourth Monday of each month in the LHS Cafetorium at 6:30 PM.

Stay Connected!

Between Booster Meetings, check the band's website at www.georgiabridgemen.com. We also send out Georgia Bridgemen Newsflashes and Newsletters via email. Sign up for the Newflash with Band Booster Secretary Cindi Waller or webmaster Al Rowell at each Booster Meeting.

The Members Only section of the band website at www.georgiabridgemen.com can be accessed using a username and password provided at band booster meetings. Typically we post itineraries with hotel accomodation information for our trips in the Members Only section.

BAND FEES

You can begin making payments to your students account now.

Payments are accepted at Booster meetings or they can be mailed to:

UNIFORMS

Uniform 1 is tux pants and shirt, black band shoes, black socks, white gloves, red vest, and red bow tie with white tux jacket and black Bridgemen hat. The band provides the tux jacket and hat.

Upcoming freshmen will be measured at both middle schools and will order their uniforms at that time if they make the payment.

Students not measured at the middle school will need to go to Ivey's The Mans Shop on Baytree Drive to be measured and to pay for the uniform. (Tux pants and Shirt).

The tux pants will not be hemmed and can be hemmed at Ivey's for a nominal fee.

Band shoes must be purchased from the band. Orders are made during band camp.

Uniform 2 is black tux pants, black band shoes and black socks, white tux shirt, red bow tie, and new red and black Georgia Bridgemen windsuit jacket. The windsuit is included in the student's band camp fees.

Auxilaries - Dance Line and Color Guard have other uniform requirements that will be provided by their respective instructors.

HEALTH FORMS:
Your child must have a notarized health form on file with our band nurses prior to the first day of pre-camp. This form does not need a physician to complete. The parent completes the form; however, it must be notarized (several band volunteers are notaries). These forms will be provided at the next band booster meeting or can be acquired by contacting any band nurse.

It is MANDATORY that all participating students have these forms in BEFORE the first scheduled practice of the band or auxiliary unit.

Health Form

The health form MUST be notarized. Your health form can be notarized at any band booster meeting

POST BAND CAMP:

The band practices on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 3:30 – 6:00 PM. Sectional practices can be called after full band rehearsals until 7:00PM. These practices are announced in advance. There may be other called rehearsals, but advance notice will be provided.

Most football games are on Friday nights. Students are to report to LHS at approximately 6:30PM for home games and times will be announced for away games.

Working at Wild Adventures is a great way to help put funds in your students account. For more information contact Ben Chastain 249-9826 or by email at crewof6@bellsouth.net.
